How to Measure Your Body—Suit Vest

Measuring for Your Perfect Vest Fit

Precision measurements ensure an impeccably tailored vest that complements your silhouette. Using a flexible tape measure, follow the technical guidelines below. Accuracy is paramount—each dimension directly impacts the vest's drape, structure, and comfort. Our master tailors will apply traditional allowances to refine these measurements.

1. Shoulder Width

Measure horizontally across the back from the outer edge of one shoulder point to the other. Position the tape parallel to the floor at the natural shoulder seam. Maintain relaxed posture—do not elevate or depress the shoulders.

2. Chest Circumference

Wrap the tape horizontally around the fullest part of the chest, just below the armpits. Keep the tape parallel to the floor and maintain normal breathing. This measurement determines the vest's chest capacity and structure.

3. Front Length

Measure vertically from the center of the collar (where it meets the shoulder) down the front center to the desired hemline. Stand upright with shoulders relaxed. This dimension ensures proper coverage and balance with your jacket.

4. Waist Circumference

Measure horizontally around the natural waist—the narrowest point of your torso, typically at the navel level. Keep the tape parallel to the floor and comfortably snug. This measurement is critical for the vest's taper and fit through the midsection.

5. Back Length

Measure vertically from the center back collar (C7 vertebra) down the spine to the desired hemline. Stand upright with shoulders relaxed. This dimension ensures proper back coverage and balance with the front length.

Record all measurements in inches and include them with your order. Our tailoring team will apply precise adjustments to achieve a refined, personalized fit that complements your overall suit ensemble. For measurement verification or technical guidance, our fit specialists are available to assist.
